Our Story

FireInspection360 was founded on a simple but powerful idea: fire safety deserves better tools. In 2018, a team of dedicated fire inspectors came together to solve a problem they knew firsthand—there wasn’t a modern, reliable, and user-friendly platform to help fire departments manage permits, inspections, and compliance workflows. Too often, critical documents were scattered across email inboxes, shared drives, or even misplaced entirely, leading to delays, lost accountability, and frustration for inspectors and the communities they serve.

We built FireInspection360 to change that. Our platform is designed with one goal in mind—supporting fire departments in their mission to keep communities safe. By combining field-based insights with extensive research into safety and compliance, we created a solution that is intuitive, adaptable, and rooted in the realities of day-to-day fire prevention work.

Since then, we’ve partnered with fire departments, fire marshals, and safety organizations of all sizes to deliver FI360—a high-quality, customizable platform that streamlines permits, inspections, ITM reports, and workflows. Our close collaboration with users ensures every feature is purposeful, effective, and built to solve real-world challenges.

Leadership with Purpose - Our Founder’s Story

Brent Meisenheimer

At the heart of FireInspection360 is our founder, Brent Meisenheimer, a Captain in one of the nation’s largest fire departments. With over 30 years of experience in plan review and fire investigations, Brent has lived the challenges that come with managing complex safety requirements.

While performing plan reviews, Brent realized that most fire departments lacked a dedicated system for permit management. Departments were left patching together solutions with Dropbox folders, spreadsheets, and email—methods that often led to lost documents, no visibility, and limited accountability. That wasn’t good enough for inspectors, and it certainly wasn’t good enough for the communities depending on them.

So Brent set out to build something better. Armed with his master’s degree in Fire and Emergency Management Administration from Oklahoma State University, he created FireInspection360—a platform built by a user, for the users.

Brent’s commitment to fire safety goes beyond software. Understanding that not every department has the budget for advanced tools, he ensures FireInspection360 sponsors several free applications, including a fire watch log and hydrant maintenance utility. These resources help even the smallest departments improve community safety without barriers.
